An all-day bakery in a restored Portuguese-era shell. The open kitchen is the hearth of the room; lime plaster and reclaimed teak carry the warmth outward.
We kept the old shell honest, patching the lime plaster rather than skimming over it, and built everything new in reclaimed teak so the room reads as one age. The oven sits in full view, so the smell and the heat of it organise the whole plan.
